AA batteries can be replaced in the camcorders if the power is off while shooting. The batteries can be charged through USB arms. It has an improved two inch screen previously it was 1.5 inches and resolution capacity is 940 x 240 previously it was 528 x 132. This camcorder has certain drawbacks is that you cannot watch audio plugs and video using standard video.
Mini DV (digital video) camcorders gives you high quality videos and this has become standard for home use and can also be used for professional purpose. To record high definition formats miniDV tapes are used called HDV which differs from DV in technical level. Aliasing element is fitted with these camcorders to reduce the blurs which occurs due to handshake. It uses approximately 36 megabits and 16 bit resolution and two digital audio channels. This miniDV measures about 120 x 90 x 12 mm and it can record video for 4.6 hours. Thinner tapes are available which can record video for 120 minutes in EP mode and in standard play it can be recorded only for 60 or 90 minutes.
The tape cannot play properly in other devices as the tolerances are much tighter. Now day’s software is available to record any type of data from the computer to miniDV camcorder. In the professional markets DV supports mostly miniDV camcorders only. This camcorder is equipped with recent technologies like flash memory card, hard disk drive and other advantages. It is very cheap than other competing models and easy to handle also provides you good quality. Some DV camcorders are now available with life long batteries and huge zooming can be done up to 32x and with good resolution capacity. Because of this low price it skips certain features but it has all important character to provide you an excellent quality. Both HD and miniDV camcorders have its own advantages and disadvantages.
